• The Lakeville Family Worship Center

A Diverse Family Church of Imperfect People Committed to Loving God and One Another!

  • Our Vision

The Family Worship Center exists to help build a great town and region for all people through a movement of the gospel that brings personal, community formation, social justice, and cultural renewal to the South coast of Massachusetts. We are....

A Church that Identifies with Jesus Christ

This is our DNA. We serve Lakeville and the South coast of Massachusetts and our members through the true preaching of the Word of God where we find our true identity. Upon accepting Christ as Savior, through a confession of Jesus being God's only Son who died for our sins and was resurrected after three days (Romans 10:9); our spiritual DNA is Christ in us the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

A Church that Helps Build a Community and Thrives in Love

This is our Hope. Matthew 22:37-39 calls us to love God with all of our heart, mind, and soul. As well, we are compelled to love our neighbor as ourselves. Furthermore, John 13:34 is where Jesus shares that we are identified by the world as we love one another as God loves us through Christ. Because the gospel changes our hearts and identities, it makes us into people who can conduct far more transparent, honest, intimate, and loving relationships.

A Church that is Living the Gospel

This is our  Call. The gospel is an organism, a living thing that grows and is active. Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that the gospel which is God's Word, is "living and active" and should be so in our lives. The gospel is the power of God's Word for and the shaping factor of all we do (Romans 1:16; 12:1-2; Galatians 2:14).

FOUR PILLARS OF THE FAMILY WORSHIP CENTER:

    • Personal Salvation: We connect people to God through worship, evangelism, and discipleship by preaching and teaching the gospel so that they might know salvation through Christ on a personal level. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10).
    • Community Infusion: We connect people to other's through worship, community fellowship, sharing of resources, strengthening families, as well as being a counterculture with regard to sex, money, and authority. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
    • Effecting Culture: We connect people to the culture within our community, region and globe, particularly through the integration of faith in our local community by living our beliefs and practices within our daily lives at work, school, commerce, etc. (Matthew 28:16-20)
    • Outlets: We seek for outlets to share our core values. To us, "movement" means the increasing of the Holy Spirits filled gospel-based ministries, outreaches, and initiatives throughout Lakeville and the Southcoast region. The Family Worship Center is a local church, but we want to be the stimulus for change through the movement of the gospel in our town and region. These outlets allow for a living gospel that produces results: healing the sick, setting the captives free, releasing those who are bound, raising the dead and setting free the oppressed. (Matthew 10:8 and Luke 4:18-19)

ALL are welcome. If you're searching for answers or If you're searching for true love. No matter where you are, YOU are welcome here. We are lovers of Jesus who seek to be displays of His love as we believe that love transforms lives and wins-Always!
